Maraschino Cherries

A maraschino cherry is a preserved, sweetened cherry, typically made from light-colored sweet cherries such as the Royal Ann, Rainier, or Gold varieties. Mainly used as a bar item or in baking.

Capers are a condiment, usually pickled, that are made from the immature flower buds of the caper bush (Capparis spinosa), which grows in Mediterranean regions. Capers are used in several Italian recipes such as chicken piccata, veal piccata and pasta puttanesca.
